Job Description

Diesel Labs is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join an early-stage team and contribute to data products that are shaping the future of the entertainment industry.

The ideal candidate for this role is skilled at planning, executing, and maintaining complex data infrastructures, including cross-functional collaboration with data analysts and business operations to ensure accurate and efficient data products. Key requirements include experience with infrastructure as code, setting up AWS services, docker containers, Kubernetes clusters, and supporting dev ops.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

– 5+ years professional experience in backend/full-stack software engineering in high-performance environments
– Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
– Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles with proficiency in Java or Python
– Proven experience designing scalable, high-performance systems and integrating large-scale distributed applications/microservices
– Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services (Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, SageMaker, Bedrock, etc.) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
– Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
– Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Kafka) for handling large-scale datasets
– Exposure to Generative AI platforms (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.), with experience in prompt engineering and/or frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex

*Bonus: Experience with Scala, PyTorch/TensorFlow, or multi-cloud (Azure/GCP) environments
